January 10th

Running out of books after the 1st few weeks I switched to casually paging through my Mum's local papers and magazines and came across the knowledgeable fact that amongst residents apparently it (the village) funnily enough goes by the name of "Highland Village".

Yeah right it has a tiny bump on which the chapel was build, and it seems around here (the Rhineland...where again it looks like bumps and bombs are kind of measured differently?????) that means something?
It did feel a bit like Scotland but definitely not like the Highlands.

Still, it brought me back to one of last years topics....
And yeah...can you believe it THE HIGHLANDER remake is finally under way... just so curious, if it comes anywhere near to what I would make of it...lets wait and see, definitely something to look forward to.

Meanwhile there was Christmas in Cologne to destress my Mum and her cooking arrangements...

Still on X-mas Eve she cooked just for me....only had to add a lot of my green sauce...

New Year trying to force out something of an (at least) emotional high, including Mum's Hallelujah and 12 Spanish grapes....trying to get back onto the save side...
(definitely a thing in Germany too...but more to that later)....

More X-mas with my Dad and Tennis with my brother....

Hospital with my Mum....

And yes absulutely....me time on the radiator......

Also a few desperate attempts to have a real bath. Gosh I think having had a real bath is literally as long ago as the last time somebody offered me a cigarette....(somewhat around 8/9 years now).
