Graduation Speech Amadeu de Prado from "Nighttrain to Lisbon".
Like those thoughts of "The Goldsmith of Words" could not be more relevant today.
Not just in regard to god or faith or the mentioned side-fractions (November entry ) in general.
But in my opinion also and probably more so in regard to every higher authority (including the "truth" or a "digital omnipresence"). Pressence would though be a better fit .... not a word I know but not sure if it might not become one in the future...digital omnipressence and how it came to suppress and enslave the majority of a global population.

Not exactly sure if me speaking them, gives them the desired impact...but I so wanted to say them. Love the poetry and (at the same time) authenticity.
Actually mostly keen to get through to the last paragraph/line.
Though I have no idea when that will be....will take my time with this one....
Can not really put it all up in one go anyway....file would be to long.....and I actually already cut it up partly. I think the original in the book goes over several pages , not?
Have the book in Germany...so funny actually bought it in an English bookshop in Prague. On one of those holidays with my Dad.
It was his favourite all that summer long...did not want to read it in German though.
Got the english version....and somehow can remember I found the translation into English a little lame. Well probably came a long way...all the way from Portugese (well the original quotes) via Swiss-German into English...
Probably it was just my English at that time being a little less eloquent. Probably still is...and no I am still not using spell check....
Really should read it again...see what I think now.
Actually wish I still had those Pessoa books...what was it saying..."the grass is always greenest when you dream it up from behind the office window with no view at all. "?
Or something like that, well it was a while ago (ahem 30 years)...had not even noticed..
